It’s been a few days since I’ve had anything to report but I do have good news (BUT first don’t forget to book off October 11th for the Charity Dinner), there has been some interest in advertising my poster for the dinner. www.simplyentertainment.ca has posted it on their site which is fantastic! If you want to check it out head to their site and click on Local Event on the right hand side.
During another filming session for the documentary I stopped by Ten Thousand Villages to follow-up with their offer to hang my poster for the dinner and they were more than happy when I go there as well they are trying to get me in contact with some other people in Windsor who are involved with helping Haiti.
Interviews as the titles states are on the recent to do list for the documentary so it should be an exciting next couple of weeks getting these done up. Julia Monk will be doing my pre-fundraiser interview tomorrow (Labour day Monday) that’s the plan, we are hoping to get it on YouTube ASAP so you can share it with friends and family. There will be a post dinner interview but that will probably be on the documentary so keep and eye out on Julia’s Facebook page.
I know every one is so intrigued and waiting to see the finished painting unfortunately we have been have some difficulties getting it online and working to get it up as soon as possible so just hold on a little bit longer it’s coming!

Today seemed to be a pretty good day for progress! I woke up this morning a little tired still recuperating from from the night/ morning I was helping Julia Monk film her painting, which will be released about 2 weeks before the charity dinner. If you haven’t seen the Teaser video I’ll be linking it.
Continuing with my progress; I finally pulled my self out of bed and got to the Caboto club and gave my deposit for the room to officially reserve it, then headed off to get my tickets printed. After a long day of work I was able to meet up with Julia and start some more filming for the documentary. I picked up the tickets and they turned out way better than I could have wished for. We went back to Julia’s to cut out some of the tickets I got about 25-40 done so far… it’s a very long process and got more footage. These tickets are definitely something that you will want to keep, they are very nice.
I managed to get to Ten Thousand Villages today and spoke to the owner of the store and she was super generous and donated a gift card for $25 and a sculpture from a Haitian artisan; what a great package! If you’re interested in how Ten Thousand Villages works with artisans and Fair Trade check out their website.

Some more great news Emily was picked to write a little article for She Loves Magazine, which I nominated her for because she’s such an inspiration to so many people especially me!
